Creation V/S Destruction: A story of how human beings are getting better at technology. A story that never really took place.

The gate was at the verge of being compromised. Hundreds of thousands of people were banging against it. The air was thick with slogans in favor of the meeting which was being held indoors and people felt that the meeting too, like the previous ones, would end in a stalemate. But this time around things were going to be pretty good.

Inside the building was going on a high level meeting of demi-gods with the gods. On one hand were sitting the representatives of the human beings, Indra and Surya. On the other hand were sitting Brahma and Vishnu. Shiva couldn't make it as he was still to emerge out of his trance.

Indra, "Dear Vishnu and Brahma, please listen to  the grievances of the human beings. They say that your creation of human beings is full of mistakes and pot holes and one particular human has been vociferously stating that the entire design of the human body is flawed and lacks creativity. He is the one who is responsible for spearheading the entire movement."

Vishnu, "But it is not possible to change the human body design so easily and rapidly. It takes time. loads of it. Moreover why change a design which has been so successful that even we Gods and demi Gods feel like taking avatars and staying in the bodies. So just one man says something and you are out to change the design."

Surya, " Dear Vishnu ji, what you are saying is correct but the man has logic on his side and we are unable to break through it. So please either make the changes or have a chat with the man itself."

Vishnu, " A man?? A human is responsible for this? How is that possible? "

Surya, "Vishnu ji it is not only possible but is actually happening. This man died of a head injury. He says that the very design created by the trinity is flawed and they, human beings, should have a better designed body. He has also proposed a design and insists it is better. "

Brahma, " This is preposterous. A meager human beings will teach me how to design. I don't see any merit in this. I have more important works to do so can't talk stupid with these human souls. I am leaving."

Surya, "O Brahma ji. Please try to understand. Work has come to a standstill. All human souls have refused to enter the Yam Lok. They say they want a better body next time they reach Earth. A long line of pending applications has gathered up. Chitragupta has gone on strike stating he can't go on like this. He will not take care of so many applications at one time. An argument between Chitragupta and Yama has left the work of Yamlok on hold. Unless something is done we are staring at a major trouble. So kindly sit down and help us find out a solution to the problem."

Brahma relents.

Brahma, "Ok Surya, tell me what is the entire case and what do you want me to do?".

Surya, "O Brahma ji, I think that very human being will be in a better position to tell you the entire episode. May I call him in?"

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A yam doot comes running. The huge door of the Yamlok is opened up. The yamdoot asks the man to come with him.

As the man enters the door the huge crowd of other souls go berserk. They are over joyed that finally they are being heard. Cheering and slogans can be heard as the man disappears behind the door.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Surya, " O human you have been a chance to present your point. So go on and answer the questions by Brahma ji"

The man looks around bewildered. The Gods and demi gods around him are seated in a hierarchiacal order. The central three figures are at higher pedestal showcasing that they must be the trinity. The rest look almost the same. The central figure speaks out, " I am Brahma, the creator of the entire world and you. And I got to hear that you have incited protest among the souls here stating that my creation is flawed? If so then prove it and tell me how to rectify it? But before that you will have to prove beyond doubt that my creation is actually flawed. So go on human, I am all ears, as are others."

Man, " O Brahma ji. My name is Shubham. I was born in Bengal but was brought up and studied in Uttar Pradesh. I as a child was very very energetic which led me to face a number of accidents. I broke my leg thrice, my jaw bone once, my spinal disc got dislocated later in my life and what more to say. But the worse was that I lost many a loved ones to diseases like cancer and multiple organ failure. One of my aunts developed gangrene in her foot and she died due to its poisoning. And I died because of an accident in which my head was badly damaged and i couldn't recover. And this all is your fault. I came to the conclusion that it is the flaw of your design that had killed so many people who could have been saved. So its your fault that so many people have to suffer all kinds of pains and sometimes die. "

Brahma look bemused and bewildered at the same time. "Dear Human, tell me why and how am I responsible for your and other's pains? It is your own karma that causes pains ...."

"Dear brahma ji, sorry to interrupt. I am not talking about the Karma Cycle philosophy. That is a problem in itself but not a point here. All i am talking about is the physical pains. See your design, the HUMAN BODY, is a unibody design. A normal human being is born with no spare parts. So it is like if a soldier during war gets hit by a bomb on one leg then that leg has to be amputated. WHY? Why amputated? Why can't it be replaced? Why have you made us with a body that has irreplaceable parts? "

Brahma was speechless.

Brahma, "Wait a minute. The entire creation is like that. I have created it in such a way that all creatures can evolve. The most basic design is the same. Even an amoeba has the same things that a human being has. Unless you are unibody .. a single structure how can you grow? How can all organs communicate and work effectively?"

Shubham, "Oh come on. Look at it this way. My aunt got gangerene and it spread. She died. Imagine a part that doesn't work and you just replace it. No fuss. A hand is not working. Replace it. Kidney not working. replace it. Brain not working. Replace it."

Vishnu, "But we have given you intellect with which you  have been able to work out how to amputate limbs without much pain and even vital organs like kidneys and liver can be transplanted. So why this fight?"

Shubham, "Why amputate and devoid one of the body part forever? And the transplantation hardly works. You have this mechanism of the body fighting a transplanted organ. So a person eventually dies."

Vishnu, "But that is how it is? Our creation doesn't allow any more flexibility."

Shubham, "That is the problem. So why not fix it?"

Brahma, "But that is not possible. I cannot change it like that. I have created a framework and let it work out its way. I cannot change it now. "

Shubham, "In that case i will keep the agitation going till you find a way out. this creation of yours is clearly not correct. "

Brahma to VIshnu, "What this man is saying makes sense but the design is more or less perfect. It has worked since eons. Not just humans but every single animal has this design."

Vishnu, "But Brahma ji i think there are a few animals who have the ability to regrow their bodies when some part is cut short. Hydra is one example. Lizards can grow their severed tail. Even humans can grow their liver back. So why not the same with the entire body?"

Brahma, "See when I designed this body I had to keep in mind a very important thing. Human beings are not supposed to be immortals. What this human is arguing about is that humans should become immortal. imagine if a human had his head crushed and can replace the head with a new one then he will never be dead. A non working heart or any vital organ can be replaced and the person will never be dead. If that really happens then do you really think the planet will be able to sustain so many living beings? It will not just stretch the resources but will simply destroy them. Just a few billion existing human beings have destroyed millions of my creations then imagine how much destruction will hundreds of billions of humans do? This body is meant to be destroyed. Only destruction can be the beginning of every creation cycle. The universe had to be destroyed many many times before too in order to create a new one. So one has to be within this cycle of creation and destruction or else utter irrevocable destruction will happen and we will be out of resources to re-start the creation process. So this bodily design is the most perfect design I could have thought about which adheres to the principle and cycle of birth and death. "

Brahma turns to Shubham, "Dear son, what you say is not only logical but makes sense from where you stand. but from where I stand your suggestion will simply make you immortal to the changes of space and time and that is not possible. When you have taken birth, death is inevitable. This is the law of nature. You will become old, your organs will suffer degradation and fail. This is the ultimate law we are all bound to. Even we are not permanent. In your time scale we are immortals but in our time frame we are also replaced and we also die only to be replaced by someone else. We all are a part of this huge cosmic dance and we cannot do anything. "

Shubham, "O Brahma ji, if death is inevitable then why have you instilled in us the fear of death, the love of life, the bondages with others around us? Why have you given us suffering?"

Brahma, "I didnt not give you suffering. Pain is an inevitable part of life. But suffering is optional. You suffer because of attachments. But I have also given you all the method of escaping the suffering as well as the  the cycle of life and death. Since i cannot circumvent the nature of Nature I cannot adhere to your request how ever logical it may be."

Shubham, "O Brahma ji, I agree to all your logics and explanations. But what about the main problem I brought to you. That is one problem you didn't solve. Kindly do something so that human beings stop suffering."

After a lot of thought Brahma Ji replied.

Dear Shubham, I, though don't agree completely that my creation of unibody structure is wrong, give you some options.
See creation is not something that happens spontaneusly. It takes time specially on the time scale of Earth. So to fast pace the problem I will give Human beings the ability and insight to do what you think is wrong. I will give them the knowledge to create body parts artifically. I will give them the knowledge and insight to create Artificial Intelligent Robots and you can make them the way you want to, with replacable organs. I will bestow upon Human beings the knowhow to replace limbs and replace them so that the body doesn't reject them.
I cannot fast track my own creation but I can give you the leeway to have your own methods to play around with my creation and create your own ones so that at some point in the future you can play my role as God of Creation and the AI Robots will be there to ask you questions and then we will see whose creation is better.
Do we have a deal???

Shubham, "O Lord, I accept your deal whole heartedly and I only pray to you that grant the souls to go into that Earth where the future will be as defined by you. We may not remember as human beings what we talked here but we will be able to see and understand what is going on out there and then when we meet next probably either I will accept your creation or you will accept ours. "

Brahma, "Ok dear Shubham. I agree to what you say. Now end your strike and let us do our work."

...........................................................................................................

As Shubham comes out of the gate of the heavens and declares the deal there is euphoria that next time they go into the world again they will see a new future ahead of them.

The work finally resumes in Heavens and the world awaits the new technology that human beings have started to peep into.

Let us see where we are headed.
